The Great American Trucking
Show receives honor
Tuscaloosa, AL. (June 14, 2002)
– The 2001 Great American Trucking Show (GATS) received a prestigious
ranking among the 200 largest trade shows in this year's edition of the
Tradeshow Week 200. GATS is a strategic part of Randall Publishing's trucking
media group, the nation's leading trucking information provider.
"It is indeed an honor to be granted this award when there are so many
tradeshows out there today," Mike Reilly, president and CEO of Randall
Publishing Company said. "We plan on expanding GATS to be the convention
for the trucking professional."
In 2001, 35,000 industry professionals representing all 50 states and
30 countries attended the show, making GATS the second largest attended
trucking show in the industry.
GATS was also selected from a large number of applicants to participate
in the U.S. Department of Commerce's International Buyer Program. Only
28 tradeshows in the United States were selected, and GATS is the only
truck show in the group.
GATS gives exhibitors and attendees from around the country a chance to
see the newest and most innovative products and technology in the trucking
industry. As part of making GATS the convention for the trucking professional,
for the first time this year the show will include a Fleet Executive Conference
and two Focus on the Family seminars entitled "Strengthening Your Family
for the Long Haul." The show also offers a variety of free seminars, special
events, free giveaways and concerts.
The 2002 GATS show will be held Sept. 6-8 in Dallas at the Dallas Convention
Center. Information on the show and how to register is available on the
GATS website at www.gatsonline.com or by calling Sellers Expositions at
