Commercial Carrier Journal
receives prestigious award
Tuscaloosa, Ala. (June 26, 2002)
–Randall Publishing Company's Commercial Carrier Journal (CCJ) received
the Silver Award for circulation excellence by Circulation Management
magazine, a Primedia Company. The awards recognize outstanding achievement
and innovation in magazine circulation, marketing and management."This
award recognizes the hard work, effort and investment made by Randall
Publishing and CCJ toward bringing qualified readers and advertisers together,"
Chip Magner, CCJ publisher, said.
CCJ was recognized for its ability to accomplish many objectives in a
short period of time. Having acquired CCJ in April 2001, Randall Publishing
merged the magazine with its existing publication, Trucking Co., in June
2001. During that time, the CCJ staff combined circulation, published
new truck ownership data in the marketplace and met the publishing goals
- all while converting its database to a new fulfillment house. The CCJ
team accomplished these actions well under the projected time frame and
budget.
"Our mission is to bring vendors and customers together," Magner said.
"We accomplish this goal by combining our award winning editorial with
premium qualified circulation, so when advertisers reach our qualified
subscribers, ultimately, a transaction will occur."
CCJ competed against other magazines with circulations of 100,000 or more.
"We are very honored to receive an award in this category," Julie Puckett,
CCJ circulation manager, said. "We believe that good circulation is the
key to any magazine's success."
CCJ provides complete business solutions for transportation professionals
responsible for running trucking companies, operating fleets or maintaining
equipment. The magazine serves for-hire and private carriers operating
or maintaining 10 or more vehicles and is read by corporate officials,
fleet managers and maintenance technicians.
