Overdrive Trucking News to Air on XM Satellite Radio
Industry's leading news program reaches expanded audience

Tuscaloosa, Ala. (April 20, 2002) – Overdrive Trucking News began airing on XM Satellite Radio's Open Road, Channel 168 in April. Hosted by veteran trucking radio personality Larry Shannon, OTN is a 3-minute daily program covering the latest national trucking news, including legislative issues, news analysis and human-interest stories. The show is developed by the editors of Overdrive magazine, which is celebrating more than 40 years as The Voice of the American Trucker.

"For more than 15 years, truckers have depended on OTN to help them stay on top of the latest industry news while they're on the road," said Jeff Mason, vice president/group publisher of Randall's Trucking Media Group. "Our new partnership with XM Satellite Radio means we'll be able to keep even more truckers informed about the issues that impact their business."

"We are excited to bring Overdrive Trucking News to Open Road listeners," XM Executive Vice President Steve Gavenas said today. "Keeping truckers safe and informed is a critical component of our truckers channel and adding OTN to Open Road helps us achieve that goal."

XM (Nasdaq: XMSR) is transforming radio, an industry that has seen little technological change since FM, almost 40 years ago. XM's programming lineup features 100 coast-to-coast digital channels: 71 music channels, more than 30 of them commercial-free, from hip hop to opera, classical to country, bluegrass to blues; and 29 channels of sports, talk, children's and entertainment. XM also brings to the car, for the first time on radio, the same diverse selection of 24-hour news sources available in the home on cable and DIRECTV.
